Weight loss holidays on the Spain, are based in Moraira, just a short distance from Javea, in the Alicante province of Costa Blanca, which is a delightful old fishing town, divided into two parts, the Old Port and the more modern tourist area, known as the Arenal.

Javea

The town lies between the twin capes of San Antonio and La Nao, and is flanked by the impressive Montgo mountain. Cabo de Nao separates the bays of Valencia and Alicante and is the most westerly point of the Valencian coastline.

Javea has a varied landscape, ranging from sandy coastlines to rugged mountains, and a mild year-round climate with an average temperature of 18 ºC

Javea has a 20 km coastline, washed by the clean, warm Mediterranean Sea. It has an interesting mix of beaches, some soft and sandy, whilst others are shingled bordered by pine trees and favoured by divers and yet others for naturists.            

The clean and sandy Arenal beach is set in a bay fringed by a pretty promenade, lined with bars, restaurants and shops. And there are miles of pebble beaches and rocks when you've had enough of the sand between your toes!

Many consider Javea is more lively than Moraira, with its many bars, restaurants and shops along the sea front, both in the Old Port and on the Arenal. The marina and the Old Port are well worth a visit, and the Old Town with its mountain backdrop makes a delightful setting for a day out.

The town has one of the most attractive marinas in the region, and the modern Yacht Club has 300 berths and facilities for all types of water sports including sailing, fishing, scuba diving, water skiing and windsurfing. Dominating the fishing port is the modern silhouette of the church of Our Lady of Loreta, built in The beautiful beach of Moraira       the shape of a ship’s keel.

The town fiesta is held during the second two weeks of July and is a wonderful occasion for feasting, dancing, parades, music and fireworks, as are the Moors and Christians parades at the end of August. Join us on your weight loss holiday here on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
